Honest scope: The demo today may keep state in your browser (localStorage) only and may not create a server account. This Privacy Policy describes what happens when we collect data for accounts, paid pilots, or hosted product use of Closeout. Soft-offer marketing does not change what we collect until you give us data.
1. Who we are
Closeout is operated by DANS PROCLEAN SERVICES L.L.C., doing business as Workstack Software, a Florida limited liability company. Privacy and support contact: support@closeoutdocs.app.
This policy covers the Closeout website and app only — not Field Flow, Shower Doors, Grout Brothers, or other brands.
2. What we collect
A. Browse / demo
- Pages you visit and basic technical logs from our host (Vercel)
- Demo state stored on your device only (
localStorageor similar), which you can clear
We do not need real project files for the throwaway demo.
B. If you create an account or join a paid pilot (GC)

C. Subcontractor uploads via token links
When a subcontractor uploads through a link you share:
- We process those uploads to provide the service to you (the GC). We do not market to subcontractors.
- You are responsible for who receives the link and for instructing them what to upload.
- Do not upload (and tell subcontractors not to upload) unrelated personal data, Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers, or documents that are not needed for the closeout checklist.
3. How we use data
- Provide, secure, and support Closeout (including accept/revision workflow and accepted-file ZIP export)
- Fix bugs and improve the product (prefer aggregated or de-identified patterns where practical)
- Communicate about your account, pilot, or security issues
- Meet legal and accounting obligations (e.g. payment records when payments exist)
We do not sell personal information. We do not mix Closeout project data with data from other Workstack Software products. Reminder drafts are not sent to subcontractors for our own marketing.
4. Sharing
We share data only with processors needed to run the service, under their terms:
- Hosting: Vercel
- Database and file storage: Supabase (or equivalent), when hosted accounts and uploads exist (Closeout project only)
- Email: Resend, when transactional email or human-approved reminders are live
- Payments: Stripe, when paid checkout is live
We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.
5. Retention
- Demo localStorage: until you clear it or reset the demo
- Account, project, and uploaded-file data: while your account is active; after it ends, typically up to about 90 days unless you ask us to delete sooner (payment and legal holds may last longer)
- You may request an export of accepted files or related metadata within 14 days after access ends, and may request deletion of operational data subject to those exceptions
6. Cookies and analytics
We aim to minimize trackers. Essential hosting, login, and security cookies may apply. We do not use advertising pixels. If we add analytics later, we will update this page first.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures for a small software service (HTTPS, access controls, tokenized upload links). No method is 100% secure. Please use strong passwords, limit staff access, and treat upload links as sensitive. We do not claim third-party certification of security or compliance review of uploaded documents.
8. Children
Closeout is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the standard).
9. Your choices
Email support@closeoutdocs.app to access, correct, export, or delete your account data, or to ask a privacy question. We may need to verify your request. Subcontractors who uploaded via your link should contact you (the GC) first about their files; we process those uploads for you.
10. Changes
We will post updates with a new version number and "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated to account holders where practical.
